The History Of The FGEA

The formation of the F.G.E.A. began in the small town of Grangerland, Texas, in March 1981.

That‘s when, “God began dealing with me about the Association.” Founder Clarence Robinson wrote in 1998. “My wife and I began going to different churches; as we would go God would show me what He did and did not like.”

Clarence and his wife Peggy decided they did not want to do what God wanted them to do and they left Texas. “We moved to Louisiana, trying to hide.  That did not work. I tried every excuse in the book; finally I said, ‘O.K.’ That was in May 1982. On June 1, 1982, the F.G.E.A. was born.”

They started with rented a typewriter and used an Avon box for a file. “I told the Lord to put the ones in the Association He wanted, and we would take care of the paper work. That has never changed.”
